This is a very unique and challenging time to be practising medicine. I have been called back to my St Georges NHS practice and spend much of my working week there now; the private hospitals have all been requisitioned by the NHS and I am only able to do private Time Urgent referred skin cancer work and telephone or virtual internet face-face consultations for any other patinets. We are hoping that we will gradually be able to restore our private practice, certainly for our Skin and Hand practice, perhaps by the end of June. The reality is however that CV-19 is likely to change our way of practice for some time to come and cosmetic surgery will be a very low priority for patients and private hospitals.
